Yin Yang Therapies
Following a visit to a holistic therapist to sample the treatments that were on offer, Sarah Vallance decided it was a skill she would love to learn for herself and took up training to become a qualified practitioner.
Sarah went on to complete her training with the London Centre of Indian Champissage and then decided to turn her newly found skills into setting up her own business, Yin Yang Therapies.
Yin Yang Therapies started in business in July this year, a mobile business offering massage and holistic therapies, including Indian Head Massage and Indian Champissage, both of which are designed to bring a natural balance to your life.
Approaching Success Doncaster for support as a new start business, Sarah has accessed a number of support steams delivered by the programme. She was initially put in touch with an Enterprise Coach for some start up tips and was also successful in obtaining some funding to help her with some of the costs associated with starting a new business.
Sarah was then referred on to one of our specialist Business Start-up advisor for one-to-one assistance and she also attended a business start-up workshop as well as attending the very useful business growth clubs on offer.
Sarah said: “The support I have received from Success Doncaster in starting up Yin Yang Therapies has been a real help to me. With a passion and qualifications in holistic therapies I now have the skills I need to offer the best possible service and am also better positioned in business know-how.”
Sarah is also looking to offer her services to businesses as she believes this can help employees and managers in reducing stress within the working environment in and around Doncaster and South Yorkshire, resulting in a reduction in time off sick. Being completely mobile enables Sarah to travel to the place of work making the treatment’s easily accessible and staff can book an appointment throughout the day to best suit their diaries on the day.
Looking to the future, Sarah will continue developing her skills and hopes to learn further methods of holistic therapies. She has recently qualified in Tsuboki face massage.
Sarah also operates on a part-time basis from Gallery 12a, South Parade, Doncaster where clients can book in for treatments on a one-to-one basis. Alongside the usual holistic treatments, Sarah can also provide her services at community and charity events and any special occasions. Yin Yang Therapies also offer pamper parties, can accommodate group bookings and provide gift vouchers for all occasions.
