White Rose Occasions
White Rose Special Occasions was born out of an idea from Hexthorpe woman Janette Pratt when she was planning her wedding. She found it disappointing when she was unable to source the quality suppliers for the products she required and realised this was the perfect opportunity to set up a business doing something she enjoyed.
Janette started the business to provide a bespoke service on chair cover hire at weddings that includes sashes, the first wedding she covered was her own with the help of her sister-in-law and after that, business really started to pick up.
Since the business started in 2008, White Rose Occasions has had a snowball effect in development and more and more products have been added to the service Janette provides. Brides to be are now coming to her to dress the whole venue in which they are getting married. She can now provide table runners, centre decorations, favors, table and cake table swags, napkin ties and more.
Coming to Success Doncaster for assistance with the business, Janette has received support from Business Buddies on an ongoing basis. She was advised in the early days of the business to attend wedding fayres and this has paid off dividends as she now has customers all over Doncaster and beyond. She also has ongoing general business advice and her Buddy is available to her if she ever needs extra support.
White Rose Occasions has not only developed in the products it supplies. The business has branched out in to other occasions such as Christenings, Funeral and themed events. Janette has also secured contracts with several local hotels to provide her service at the functions they hold.
Her goal for the future is to continue to make dreams come true for her clients and to be the best that is on offer within her trade through offering her clients quality and originality.
