Founded in 2006 by Wayne Sables and Katie Pearson, Wayne Sables Project is an international dance theatre and film company creating work with a strong social message that is uniquely personal yet global.
The company provides choreography, filming and educational services in both the commercial and public realm, focusing on providing professional team and processes to each audience they serve. They also provide a community and education programme that provides education, dance experience, film and professionally guided creative expression opportunities to school children, the elderly and mental health sufferers.
Wayne Sables Project also deliver bespoke corporate training and consultation tailor made to suit your business needs helping your staff fully understand and better translate your company’s vision in new and innovative ways. Through the use of dance/theatre and/or filmmaking they work with staff to help make them better at what they are employed to do through helping explore/express unlocking and developing their creative talents.
The company has recently received support through the Success Doncaster programme by embarking on an Innovation Programme designed to enhance their current vision, develop networks and to identify new strategic growth opportunities.
The results have been impressive. An Innovation Coach helped identify five key areas of growth, a scalable growth strategy and the key characteristics of their team culture and process. They also helped in realising that Wayne Sables Project was not just a dance company but also a media company, demonstrated by their consistent and persistent exploration of multimedia platforms, communication vehicles, audience development practices and product development.
Their Success Doncaster Innovation coach also helped in finding new ways that could help the company become financially sustainable and profitable. This included the launch of an initiative using dance to facilitate a healthier lifestyle whilst encouraging an appreciation of the arts. Thanks to this advice and successful collaboration with Business Link, this resulted in a successful application for an Innovation Voucher to help bring this idea to life.
Wayne said: “The support that I have received through Success Doncaster has enabled me to look at my business in a whole new light. It has opened up a lot of doors and has led me to think in a completely different way, exploring new business opportunities in order to develop the business further.
Now Wayne, Katie and the team are focusing on building an organisation which supports growth, development, leadership, autonomy and the multi-media platform they are becoming.
