Vicky Waller
Having a year out of work on maternity leave did not make a return to full-time employment the easiest option for Vicky Waller.
Struggling to find time to look for suitable employment whilst looking after her new baby, she came to Success Doncaster for help. She was referred to the Jobmates programme that came to her assistance by looking for a job on her behalf.
Vicky already had an up to date CV but with the help of her own personal Jobmate, she benefited from the programme by being contacted whenever a suitable vacancy was found for her to apply for. She was also given advice on interview techniques to help her when she gained a successful step forward on her path to employment.
Vicky was recently successful with applying for the position of Engagement Officer with the Doncaster West Development Trust working under the former Financial Inclusion project which is part of the Success Doncaster programme.
Through her new position she has regular networking opportunities with Jobmates and is always keen to promote the programme. With the use her own story for an example, she is able to promote the great work the programme and Success Doncaster as a whole does.
