At the age of just 18, Sarah Meloy took on the challenge of starting her own business and opened Sarah’s Beauty. After four years of hard work and determination, her reputation and client base has grown so much she has opened a second salon, Salon Chique in Woodlands. Here she offer her customers even more variety of beauty treatments, nail technologies including nail art and fake bake tanning.
Success Doncaster helped Sarah in the process of setting up Salon Chique by putting her in touch with Business Buddy Dee Bodle who has provided her with advice on business planning, advice on marketing and various other aspects of the business leaving Sarah more time to take care of the beauty treatment side.
Dee was very impressed with Sarah’s work ethic as she had left school with very little in the way of formal qualifications but still knew exactly where she wanted to go and what she wanted to achieve and was willing to work hard to reach her goals. She has faced many challenges along the way to opening the new salon but has gained a lot of experience because of this.
Sarah has had lots of good feedback from clients, some of whom travel over from Sheffield. She is extremely happy with the way the new salon is going as she is receiving plenty of referrals from happy customers and is also attracting passing trade. She is now looking to introduce new products such as Raki treatments and Teeth Whitening to be able to offer more services to her clients and expand the business.
