Ti Amo Ice Cream
Sarah Owens and Ben Kramer, both eighteen and with a passion for ice cream, decided to go into business together doing what they love – making and selling the finest Italian ice cream desserts.
Ben, a chef by trade, and Sarah, who was previously unemployed, contacted Success Doncaster for advice on turning their dream into realisation. They were referred to a business advisor who assisted them in writing a business plan, carrying out market research and managing cash flow. They were also successful in securing a start up grant and accessed further finances through the Success Doncaster loan fund to support them in setting up Ti Amo Ice Creams.
With the business know-how and start-up knowledge they now had, Sarah and Ben felt confident enough to move into premises in Bawtry and open Ti Amo to the public. They were able to purchase the necessary stock and had help marketing the business, which officially launched in May this year.
Ti Amo, which translates as I Love You in Italian, offers freshly made Italian ice-cream and sorbets with no artificial colouring, as well as lactose free and diabetic ice creams with gluten free cones. They also serve organic juices and a variety of Italian coffees – there really is something for everyone!
With a lovely seating area inside and outside the building, anyone can go to enjoy and rediscover their love of ice cream!
