Sacha Gray
Stay at home mum, Sacha Gray, had not worked for thirteen years whilst she concentrated on bringing up her child.
Through the assistance of Phoenix Enterprise and a former Success Doncaster wage subsidy initiative, Buttons Day Nursery, Edlington received support in recruiting a cook. Sacha, 32, who also lives in Edlington saw the vacancy and was encouraged to apply for the post. A very successful interview led to her being hired!
Although the only experience Sasha had was through cooking at home for her family, she quickly familiarised herself with the job and has grown in confidence.
Initially, the post was only temporary but the staff at Buttons Day Nursery were so impressed with Sacha’s hard working and ambitious nature that they have now made her a full time, permanent member of the team.
