Ruby Brown
Success Doncaster’s Jobmates initiative is not only about matching the right candidate with the right position, the service also offers help and support before, during and after the job search to ensure the client is prepared and ready to do the best job.
Ruby Brown is a great example of this, before coming to Jobmates she was struggling with confidence and self esteem issues. Her Jobmate referred her to North Doncaster Development Trust’s counselling service and held regular meetings with her as well as several phone calls a week to keep in regular contact and have up to date support.
Through this regular support, Ruby started to show real trust in her Jobmate and was noticeably more confident when she attended her meetings. Ruby has worked extremely hard to overcome barriers that had held her back in the past and her meetings have also covered support with sorting out her finances and clearing any debts.
After a few months with Jobmates, Ruby has come a long way. Her Jobmate says she is a bubbly and chatty character whenever they meet and has addressed her issues that had hindered her when going out in public. She now has a CV and is working extremely hard with her Jobmate and on her own to secure employment in retail.
