Having worked as a part-time photographer for the last ten years and with a background in graphic design, Abe now feels she has the relevant experience to successfully develop a small business.
Abe, who lives in Conisbrough decided to turn her photography hobby into a business opportunity and has set up her own photography business through the help and guidance from Success Doncaster, BetaTechnology and Doncaster Chamber – two of the organisations working within the Success Doncaster programme. She offers a range of photographic services including weddings, portraits, special events and commercial work.
“Success Doncaster has provided me with support and help about the best way to progress forward with my ideas by introducing me to a ‘Business Buddy’ and enrolling on a business start-up course’. My business buddy has been brilliant and has provided me with support and help about the best way to progress forward and how to gain funding for the necessary equipment” said Abe.
She added “I never thought I would be able to work for myself but after attending the business start up course at Doncaster Chamber, it encouraged me to take that next step to start my own business and I now have the determination and motivation to make it succeed”.
