As a promising dancer, Bawtry woman Rebecca Lane did not let a knee injury stand in the way of her when she wanted to make a living out of something she clearly loves.
After recovering from injury, she started to dance again and started to teach lessons to children. This led her to realise her passion for working with children and she decided to set up a business as a children’s entertainer.
Pink Pixie Parties provides entertainment for groups of children aged between four and 12+. Each age group can be catered for with fairy parties, pop princess parties and pamper sessions available to meet every child’s needs. Each party can feature dance, games, fancy dress, makeovers and face painting, meaning parents do not need to worry about any other entertainment during the party.
Rebecca came to Success Doncaster for assistance with the business side of Pink Pixie Parties. She has been assisted by a number of different strands of the programme including an enterprise grant from North Doncaster Development Trust, business advice from an advisor at Doncaster Chamber and one-to-one mentoring from an advisor at CIDA.
She is still receiving ongoing support from Success Doncaster whilst running Pink Pixie and looking at ways of developing the business. She now offers bespoke services to meet the needs of customers further and enhance the experience of a child’s party even further.
