Nigel Sykes had worked in the communications industry for years but felt one big problem facing a lot of companies was the distance between the client and the creative designer. He decided to set his own agency on a smaller scale where the two were brought closer together.
PepperTree Creative was born out of this notion and aims to deliver a full service communications agency packed into a small and nimble package. He found himself facing challenges in growing the PepperTree name as a brand within specific sectors and as most small businesses do, he wanted to focus on growth and expansion.
Success Doncaster came to Nigel’s assistance by offering him support through two of its strands, firstly Business Buddies. Nigel was partnered with a personal Buddy who offered tailored advice to PepperTree and helped develop a two year plan for the business. Help was also on hand from CIDA who helped with the creative and digital side of the business and developed Nigel’s skills further.
Nigel said: “As a relatively young company we are probably facing the same challenges as many other small businesses. The Business Buddy has been invaluable and given us some great advice through the Success Doncaster initiative.”
