Kady Bell

Kady Bell

Kady Bell worked in childcare until she was made redundant in December 2009. Turning to Success Doncaster for help, Kady was referred to the Jobmates programme and assigned a jobmate to help her find sustainable employment.

Before she could proceed with her search, Kady’s jobmate thought that she would benefit greatly from support in writing her CV. Kady already had one written but one more specific to childcare would help her succeed in finding a job in the right field.

Kady was pleased with the outcome of her new CV so her jobmate then sent it out with a speculative letter to a number of childcare centres and nurseries throughout Doncaster.

Whilst waiting to hear back from employers, Kady’s was advised on accessing funding to attend a first aid course and buy suitable shoes and trousers for any interviews that arose from her enquiries. She also benefited from mock interviews with her jobmate to prepare for the actual interviews in the future.

Thanks to the initial action her jobmate took in sending out her CV and speculative letter, Kady received a letter inviting her to an interview at a childcare centre in Wheatley. She impressed her prospective employers at interview and was offered the job. Kady was over the moon with this and is now happy in her employment.
