Jayne’s Gardening & Landscaping Services
Following redundancy back in 2009 Jayne Smedley from Rossington was keen to get back into work but after applying for more than 100 jobs with no success she began to consider self employment.
Jayne has always been a keen gardener and after numerous requests from friends and family for hanging baskets and to maintain people’s gardens, she decided to have a go at turning what started out as a hobby and something she enjoyed doing into her own business.
Jayne’s Gardening & Landscaping Services first opened for business in early 2010 with a little help and support from Success Doncaster.
Having had no previous experience in running a business, Jayne was initially referred to an Enterprise Coach who went through the first steps of starting a business. Jayne received help with creating a business plan, preparing financial forecasts and also a small financial boost to help her on her way. In addition to this, Jayne was also fortunate to qualify for a small loan from the Success Doncaster Loan Fund which enabled her to buy a vehicle to set her business on the road to success.
The business offers a full range of services, ranging from small local projects to major national work and a no obligation quote is made available for each job.
