Tony Ward is a former soldier, and originally established Force 10 Recruitment in 2007 to help ex-service personnel find work.
Tony approached Success Doncaster with Force 10 Recruitment as a new start-up, looking for guidance and support to explore opportunities to grow the business
He was also keen to expand his recruitment activity into Doncaster's growing low carbon power and advanced technology industries, and was interested in accessing experience in these markets.
Tony was partnered with a mentor who was ideal for his needs based on their existing contacts and experience in these industries. He was also subsequently given additional business support via the Business Buddies initiative.
The mentoring relationship worked well, and Beta Technology, who deliver the Business Buddies contract for Success Doncaster, were so impressed with the progress that Tony made, that they have now entered into a joint working partnership with Force 10 Recruitment.
The strategic partnership provides an opportunity to provide clients with a solutions-based approach to recruitment and employment, combining Beta’s sector and technical knowledge with Force 10 Recruitment’s credible methodology, to support large-scale and complex projects together.

Under the agreement, Beta will provide both back-office support and technical expertise, as well as access to its national and international client base – enabling Force 10 Recruitment to develop its recruitment services into new markets.
On the mentoring relationship with Beta Technology, Tony said: “Since we met, my business has quadrupled. Beta's contacts have opened up areas of funding that I would never have considered. The business is now on a very stable platform and the fact that we have formed this partnership so soon is a sign that we have a good working relationship.”
Based on his experiences to date, Tony has also joined Doncaster 100 as a mentor himself, providing guidance and support to other local individuals and businesses looking to grow in Doncaster.
