As their motto suggests, Environmental Friendly Solutions (EFS), prides itself on protecting the Earth through innovation. Owner Simon Bolton says he was influenced to set up the business because of the importance of finding long term solutions to problems facing the environment.
The main product that EFS offers its customers is the Jute Bag, a 100% biodegradable long lasting carrier bags that offer a sturdy and flexible alternative to regular plastic carrier bags.
Through Success Doncaster, Simon was passed on to the Business Buddies Scheme where he was allocated his own personal Business Buddy. He received support in developing a marketing plan with a plan to focus on targeting customers and developing a product that is specific to their needs. Other ways of marketing the business were also suggested and additional ways to generate income to initiate growth.
Simon said: “There has been an impact on the business thanks to my personal Business Buddy. We have been able to get a number of contacts and positive leads, as well as increased exposure.
“Having attended a Success Doncaster event our profile was raised in the borough and we are looking at additional opportunities that can raise our profile throughout the sub region.
“The best advice I have received from my Business Buddy is perseverance, focus on marketing and never give up if you believe in your product.”
