Enhancement Training
Enhancement Training was opened in September 2009, the business venture was started by Natalie and Alun Perry in order to provide 14-16 year old young people with the opportunity to develop practical skills that will enable them to progress in their personal and professional lives.
Young people are referred to Enhancement Training by schools and other referrals agencies due to been partly or fully excluded from mainstream education. Natalie and Alun have recognised that some young people cannot, or choose not, to progress further in education but need an opportunity to develop their practical skills and provide them with a sense of achievement.
Both Natalie and Alun are so committed to this concept that they have both given up jobs in education to devote themselves to help these young people. In fact between them they have 32 years experience working in Colleges and Training Establishments and intend to use this wealth of experience / knowledge to the benefit of their young learners.
Natalie and Alun came to Success Doncaster for help with Enhancement Training and as an existing business, were referred to the Business Buddies initiative for free, tailored advice. Their personal Business Buddy gave them marketing advice as well as general business guidance.
Enhancement Training is Ofsted registered and has been approved by NOCN (National Open College Network) as a recognised centre to deliver qualifications in joinery, bricklaying, plumbing and plastering. All learners will participate in developing independent living skills, budgeting, cooking, healthy living and social skills. Enhancement Training can accommodate 36 students.
