Following redundancy, experienced roofer, Eliot Grant, decided to seize the opportunity to work for himself, but he required additional support from the Success Doncaster programme.
With the help of a business advisor, Eliot was able to produce a business plan and access an enterprise grant to cover the costs of getting his roofing company off the ground. His advisor also offered ongoing support and advice throughout the process and helped turned Eliot’s dream into reality.
As the roofing business, known as EPG Roofing, is beginning to take off in Doncaster, Eliot is now working closely with his wife, a colleague at Arrow publications, to feature regularly in the magazines as a way of marketing his business.
