Elegant Cards and Gifts
Elegant Cards and Gifts designs and makes individual cards and gifts by hand. Business owner Marie Sahman has always dreamed of owning her own shop and it was whilst trying to find the perfect card for a relative, she realised Doncaster had a niche in the market for specially crafted products.
Marie set about finding suppliers on her own and began to design and create cards to sell once she had opened her shop.
Success Doncaster came to her assistance with Business Advisors from Doncaster Chamber who have helped Marie with registering her on a Business Start-Up Course, suggested she attended post start Business Skills Workshops and also attended networking opportunities.
Marie also received support through the Doncaster 100 strand and benefited from one-to-one mentoring sessions as well as ongoing support from a Senior Business Advisor.
Since receiving support, Marie has realised her dream of opening a shop and is currently based in Waterdale. As well as her cards and gifts shop, she also offers customers a dry cleaning service to maximise the potential of her store through two different services.
