Both Neil Sawbridge and Kevin Hollingsworth were employed by Cusworth bikes until it sadly went into administration at the end of November 2009. With 27 years of experience between them in the motorcycle industry, they felt that they would make a good team working together to run their own motorcycle business.
They approached Success Doncaster for help and were referred to North Doncaster Development Trust and were assigned a Community Enterprise Advisor for up to date help and support on a number of key issues that affected their business.
Neil and Kevin received advice on Marketing and they were also given support on how to write a business plan and the actual writing of it. They were also advised on how to get a Success Doncaster grant to help towards the cost of opening and running their new venture.
Neil and Kevin hope their new business will be able to pick up where Cusworth Bikes has left a gap in the market. They had both turned down an offer of alternative employment to be able to make this venture a reality and are now taking on the challenge of running their own business.
