DBI design makes and supplies kitchen units, bedrooms and studios for the home. Owned by Dianne Whittaker, the company offers a bespoke service meaning customers can ask them to design their units however they want for their home.
As well as offering these services to its customers, DBI is also in talks with other local businesses to use their showroom to offer their services. These include a local artist and another local company that designs and manufactures glass staircases.
Dianne initially came to Success Doncaster for assistance with Business Start-up advice which she received through Doncaster Chamber and the Community Enterprise Advisors at North Doncaster Development Trust. She also received funding from the Princes Trust to enable to buy equipment and uniform for the apprentice who works for the company. Finally, Dianne has also benefited from mentoring from Doncaster 100 where she received one to one mentoring on how to promote her business, this included the use of the Internet and purchase of a website.
DBI’s showroom is something to talk about, Dianne’s Business Advisor from Doncaster Chamber said it is the best she has ever seen and will help the business develop.
