Cutting it is a hair salon that has been in the Doncaster Wool Market since June 2008.
Business owner, Amanda Warner had managed and worked the salon as a sole trader until she witnessed work that Success Doncaster carried out through the InBusiness project.
InBusiness gives new start businesses the chance to ‘test trade’ a market stall to see if their business is a viable venture. Traders get the chance to use a market stall free of charge for a set amount of time to help them get their business off the ground.
After seeing this happen for a number of businesses, Amanda approached Success Doncaster and soon realised that she could take her business to another level.
Amanda’s business advisor supported her with PAYE, staffing, marketing and grant applications. She also helped her to realise that she could expand her business in other ways and through this a new salon was opened offering nail and beauty services in Stainforth.
Amanda now employs 3 members of staff and is extremely pleased with the development of her business. She is an avid supporter of the markets and InBusiness initiative and has truly moved forward since having her confidence boosted by Success Doncaster.
