Single mum, Joanne Wybrant, has always dreamed of becoming a beauty therapist, but simply could not afford to pay for the training she needed.
After hearing about the support available through Success Doncaster, she turned to the programme for help. Joanne was referred to an advisor who assisted her in applying and successfully securing a grant which would fund her training course.
Whilst training, Joanne’s confidence soared as she made new friends, and many of the younger students looked to her as a role model who they could turn to for support and guidance. Now a fully qualified beauty therapist, Joanne was eager to open her own business.
She turned to her advisor once again, who was hand throughout the process of setting up Cuticalls. Offering expertise in managing finances, forecasting and marketing, Joanne gained a sound business knowledge and was ready to open Cuticalls to the public. She is now renting a room in an existing building and operating her beauty therapist business from there.
