Ann Lesley Yates
Having been made redundant, Ann Lesley Yates was struggling to find a job despite actively carrying out job searches and applying for a number of posts. With the responsibility of caring for her mother in law and pregnant daughter, Ann (or Lesley as she prefers to be known) was ideally looking for something part time and close to home.
Through the Success Doncaster programme, Lesley was referred to a Job Mate who was instrumental in helping her realise her full potential. Her Jobmate assisted Lesley in revamping her CV to clearly demonstrate her skills in customer service and management, and helped boost Lesley’s confidence so that she would be able to attend interviews with ease. This involved practicing interview techniques and learning relaxation methods to keep her calm and stress-free.
When a part time vacancy at the local Weldricks Pharmacy became available, Lesley’s Jobmate contacted her with the details and suggested she apply. After creating a job specific application form she was successful in securing an interview, and the team were so impressed that they offered her the job. Lesley is thrilled with her new appointment and has settled in quickly. She is enjoying the responsibilities the job offers and the variety of tasks she is involved with.
