Tropic Temperatures in Doncaster

February 2010

Despite all the recent bad weather, one Success Doncaster beneficiary has managed to add some extra tropical temperatures to the area.

Hemswell Fish Farm has recently undergone a redevelopment and added further buildings to its existing Hatfield site which can now boast the biggest selection of reptiles, snakes, spiders and scorpions in the North.

This growth in business has been made possible because of the help received through Success Doncaster. Business owner Graham Dickin has benefited from ongoing financial advice from his Finance Friend as well as taking advantage of the Success Doncaster loan fund. Both of these services come free of charge for new and existing businesses.

On top of this, Graham has re-housed a further 80 reptiles and snakes, added 150 tropical fish tanks, boosted its stocks in tropical pet food and made the whole facility wheelchair friendly.

Graham said: “Thanks to Success Doncaster I have been able to bring reptile knowledge and understanding to the local community and enhance the public’s joy of these wonderful creatures.”

Councillor Jonathan Wood, Cabinet Member for Business and New Enterprise, said: It is great to see another example of a Doncaster business taking advantage of the services on offer from Success Doncaster. Business growth is excellent for the profile of Doncaster and its economy.”
