LEGI forum comes to Doncaster
February 2010
On Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 February, Success Doncaster hosted the national LEGI (Local Enterprise Growth Initiative) forum at the Mount Pleasant Hotel.
Programme managers from across the UK made the journey to Doncaster to discuss the programmes, share ideas, network and learn from each others ideas.
The two day conference was also featured on BBC 2’s The Politics show with Julie Wilson, programme manager of Success Doncaster, being interviewed at the event.

The conference received some excellent feedback from those in attendance, below are some of the things they had to say:
“Just a short e-mail to thank you for hosting the event. I know that myself and my colleague thoroughly enjoyed our time; coming away with a few ideas that we could look to implement in Liverpool and Sefton.” John Anderson – Stepclever, Liverpool LEGI.
“I just wanted to extend an enormous thank you to you and your team for hosting such an excellent LEGI Forum over the past few days. As a newcomer to the fold, I found the event interesting, challenging, thought provoking and inspirational and I think that your success in providing all of that should not go unremarked.” Kevin Stower – Hastings LEGI.
“I would just like to thank you and your excellent team for your hospitality while in Doncaster. It was an excellent and challenging Forum, with a lot of very real issues for partnerships to debate around influencing and the initial findings from the econometric modelling. I thoroughly enjoyed it!” Terry Watts - Department of Business, Innovation and Skills.
