Space for Success is the latest initiative being developed to ensure the supply of workspace accommodation in Doncaster meets the needs of a vibrant and growing economy.
The market led programme encourages the use of existing premises within the community. These premises may be in need of refurbishing or adapting to bring them into use for Managed Workspace purposes, in deprived areas most in need of regeneration and where entrepreneurial activity requires a base to establish a greater presence.
The principle behind Space for Success will be to provide funding opportunities for managed workspaces, shared business premises, micro business incubation units for new and small businesses that currently operate from home, or do not have a business address and premises.
Success Doncaster is currently working on:
A property specification, and inviting expressions of interest from commercial property owners across the Borough;
A database of managed workspace demand, home based businesses/enterprises in Doncaster.
This is an innovative programme with a detailed agenda which focuses upon a number of outputs. These range from addressing the number of empty properties throughout Doncaster, to ensuring high quality, sustainable and affordable workspace accommodation is available to local businesses.
