• Beneficiary
  The name given to a person who gains or benefits from Success Doncaster help.

• Business Buddies
  Business Buddies offer tailored specialist support and give you the chance to talk to and learn from someone who has been there and done it before.

• Business Mentors
  A strand of the Success Doncaster programme providing one-to-one business mentoring advice, encouragement and support. A network of successful business people are on hand to help you in a wide range of business areas whether you are a new or whether you are an existing business in Doncaster. 

• Doncaster 100
  A strand of the Success Doncaster programme, Doncaster 100 provides one-to-one business mentoring advice, encouragement and support. A network of successful business people are on hand to help you in a wide range of business areas whether you are a new or whether you are an existing business in Doncaster.

• DWDT  - Doncaster West Development Trust
  A Success Doncaster contractor Delivering financial advice to any resident in Doncaster on elements of budgeting, identifying savings, debt advice, accessing bank and savings accounts, affordable credit and insurance products. Training, counselling and mentoring support on money management and helping to plan for the future / cope with financial pressure is also provided.

• Enterprise Coaches
  A team of Enterprise Coaches who work with individuals to break down barriers to self-employment, provide business start-up advice and help to people to be more enterprising.

• Finance Friends
  A strand of the Success Doncaster programme, Finance Friends provides easy to understand, approachable tailored support for businesses struggling with financial issues.

• Financial Inclusion
  A strand of the Success Doncaster programme, Financial Inclusion offers FREE, confidential financial advice to any resident in Doncaster.

• Jobmates
  Jobmates was the former name of a programme run through Success Doncaster that helps to break down the barriers individuals may find when looking for employment. Jobmates are now called Work and Enterprise Coaches. 

• LAA – Local Area Agreement
  Doncaster's LAA is the key partnership document which sets out the priorities that the Council and its partners have agreed to focus on up until 2011. It is an agreement between all those who have an interest in improving services and the quality of life for local people.

• LEGI – Local Enterprise Growth Initiative
  The Local Enterprise Growth Initiative, set up by the government in 2005, aims to release the productivity and economic potential of our most deprived local areas and their inhabitants, through enterprise and investment, thereby boosting local incomes and employment opportunities, and building sustainable communities.

• NDDT - North Doncaster Development Trust 
  A Success Doncaster contractor who provides a team of Enterprise Coaches who work with individuals to break down barriers to self-employment/business start-up and to help people to be more enterprising.

• Opportunity Centres
  Opportunity centres are based in neighbourhoods throughout Doncaster and provide advice to people in that community on issues such as: starting a new job, changing career, training opportunities available etc.

• Social Enterprises
  Social enterprises are businesses trading for social and environmental purposes. Their profits are reinvested to sustain and further their mission for positive change.

• Space for Success
  An initiative provided by Success Doncaster to ensure the supply of workspace accommodation in Doncaster meets the needs of a vibrant and growing economy.

• SLHD – St Leger Homes of Doncaster
  St. Leger Homes of Doncaster was set up by Doncaster Council in 2005 to manage the day-to-day running of 21,000 council homes and to deliver a major programme of Government investment to bring council homes up to the Decent Homes Standard.

• Steps to Success
  
  The Steps to Success project, being delivered by Doncaster West Development Trust (DWDT) as part of the Success Doncaster programme, provides advice and support to local people in order to help them find work or become self-employed.

• Work and Enterprise Coaches
  
  Work and Enterprise Coaches help individuals to identify and access appropriate volunteering and training opportunities. They work with local people who are keen to improve their employment prospects and who may need more skills training and practical support, to overcome personal barriers they may be facing.
