Do Business with Doncaster Council

Doncaster Council advertises the majority of its tender opportunities on the Supplier and Contract Management System.

The Supplier and Contract Management System (SCMS) is a web based system used to advertise quotation and tender opportunities and information on Council contracts for Doncaster and many of the other 22 Yorkshire and Humber local authorities.

If your organisation is interested in business opportunities with Doncaster Council then registering on the SCMS is the most important first step. Registration is free of charge and any organisation can register an interest in providing supplies, services or works to Doncaster and the other authorities across the Yorkshire and Humber region.

The registration process is simple and involves a company creating its own profile on the SCMS, detailing:

  • Company name

  • Address

  • Contact details (email, telephone and fax)

  • Key individual contact(s)

  • Category(s) of activity

  • An indication of those authorities the company has an interest in trading with

  • A registered company on the SCMS can update its own profile as and when required, identify information on existing Council contracts, and search current tendering opportunities either to participate or to find potential business to business opportunities.

The system helps promote collaborative working, standardisation, aggregation and procurement management.

Should you have any problems registering on the SCMS or participating in quotations or tenders, contact the SCMS helpdesk on (0113) 247 4001 or by emailing scms@leeds.gov.uk

In addition to the SCMS system Doncaster Council also advertises contracts on the Contracts Finder website.
